Sika deer from Japan are one of the most sought-after exotic trophies in Texas. The Texas Hill Country hosts the largest free-ranging sika deer population outside of Asia, and mature sika stags with their distinctive spotted coats and multi-tined antlers are spectacular trophies. Rut peaks in September–October when stags whistle aggressively and can be called.

Hill Country sika hunting combines the beautiful cedar and live oak terrain with exciting deer hunting. Sika are vocal during the rut — hearing a sika stag whistle and bugle across the hills at first light is one of hunting's great sounds. Hunt from elevated blinds over feeders or spot & stalk in the classic Hill Country style.

Sika deer are notoriously wary and difficult to approach — this is not a high-fence canned hunt. Our free-range sika have miles of native habitat to roam and are genuinely wild animals that test your hunting skills.
