The Texas Gulf Coast sits at the confluence of all four North American flyways — making it one of the top waterfowl destinations on the continent. Teal, mottled duck, pintail, gadwall, redhead, and dozens of additional species winter along the coastal marshes and rice prairies from September through January. Gulf Coast Waterfowl Outfitters operates on private rice farms and coastal marshes near Galveston Bay and the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge.

Hunts launch from comfortable duck blinds set in flooded rice fields, coastal marshes, and tidal flats — some of the most productive duck habitat anywhere. September teal season is the first opener in North America; winter seasons for ducks and geese run through late January. Our guides are expert callers and decoy setters who have hunted this coast for decades.
