Mourning Dove & White-Wing Hunt — Texas
About This Hunt
Texas is the top dove hunting destination in North America — the state accounts for more than 50% of the US dove harvest annually. Lone Star Dove Outfitters operates hunts on private agricultural land throughout Central and South Texas, targeting massive dove flights over harvested sunflower, milo, and wheat fields. Opening weekend in September is legendary — limit shoots of 15 doves before 10 AM are common.
White-winged dove hunting is especially strong in South Texas during early season (late August through September). Mourning dove hunting extends through October and beyond. Our guides position hunters in brushy field edges and shaded fence rows for maximum shooting opportunity. Quality shell sharing, bird boys, and cold drinks are provided.
Dove hunting in Texas is a social tradition — bring your family, your friends, and your dog. Groups of 4–12 hunters are welcome. No draw required, season bag limit of 15 birds per day.
