About This Hunt
World-class whitewing dove hunting in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Hunt citrus groves and agricultural fields where birds funnel from Mexico in massive flocks. 100+ bird days are common during peak whitewing season. Full-service lodge, gourmet meals, open bar.
The special whitewing season runs September 5–13, then regular season continues from September 14. The Lower RGV is the single best whitewing dove destination in the United States — birds stage here in enormous concentrations before dispersing northward. Citrus groves, grain sorghum fields, and subtropical brush create ideal whitewing habitat. Full-service lodge experience with gourmet Texas-style meals and open bar after the hunt.
