The King Ranch is the most famous ranch in the world — 825,000 acres of South Texas brush country that has defined Texas ranching culture since 1853. King Ranch Outfitters offers guided whitetail hunts on properties descended from the original Santa Gertrudis land grant, where genetics-managed deer herds produce some of the most impressive Boone & Crockett bucks in North America.
South Texas brush country is where deer hunting was invented — senderos cut through thick chaparral, corn feeders bring mature bucks in at first light, and the January rut pushes big-necked brush bucks into the open. King Ranch deer average over 150" B&C and 160"+ is not unusual. This is the quintessential Texas deer hunting experience.
All hunts are conducted from elevated blinds over protein feeders and water. Guides are longtime King Ranch employees with intimate knowledge of the property and its deer. Lodging in the historic Santa Gertrudis headquarters compound.
