Nilgai — the largest free-range antelope species in North America — roam the historic King Ranch in South Texas in huntable numbers, reaching 700+ lbs on bulls. Introduced from India decades ago, nilgai have thrived in the South Texas brush country and provide one of the most unique and challenging big-game hunting experiences available in the United States.
King Ranch Nilgai Hunts runs spot-and-stalk and stand hunts across the legendary 825,000-acre King Ranch, one of the most storied ranches in American history. Bulls are tough animals — accurate shot placement with adequate caliber is essential. Season runs October through January. $5,500 all-inclusive (minus license). Meat processing and trophy preparation included.
