Wyoming Black Bear — Shoshone National Forest
About This Hunt
High-country spot & stalk black bear hunting in Wyoming's Shoshone National Forest near Yellowstone — one of the most scenic bear hunting destinations in North America. Spring hunts target bears on open slopes above 8,000 feet as snow melts, with the dramatic Absaroka Range as a backdrop.
The Shoshone is Wyoming's oldest National Forest and borders Yellowstone — an incredible wildlife corridor that produces exceptional bears. Our outfitters have operated in this country for decades and know where the biggest bears live. This is also prime grizzly country — the constant backdrop of raw wilderness is unmatched anywhere in the lower 48.
