6-Day Rifle Elk Hunt — Bighorn Basin

Hunt trophy bull elk in Wyoming's legendary Bighorn Basin — a vast high-desert wilderness that produces some of the most impressive bull elk in North America. Our operation runs out of a comfortable base camp with cabin-style lodging, hot showers, and home-cooked meals that fuel long days in the field.

The Bighorn country offers a unique mix of terrain — from sagebrush benches where elk graze at first light, to dark timber drainages where bulls bed during midday. Our guides know every canyon and ridgeline, putting you in position for ethical shots at quality bulls.

We use a combination of spot-and-stalk and calling depending on conditions. With access to both private land and public land, we can be flexible and hunt where the elk are. All hunters are required to complete a pre-hunt accuracy test at camp.

This is a horseback hunt — you'll spend time in the saddle getting to and from hunting areas. No prior riding experience required but a reasonable level of fitness is expected. Bulls averaging 300-320" typical are taken each season.
