The golden dorado is South America's apex freshwater predator — a chrome and gold torpedo that demolishes streamers and surface flies with explosive aggression. Paraná Fly Lodge operates on the lower Paraná River in Entre Ríos province, one of the most productive dorado fisheries in Argentina. Wade the braided channels and backwater lagoons for 15–30 lb fish on 8–9 weight rods. 10–20 fish per day is standard. Best months: February–May and September–November. Dove hunting add-on available at the lodge.
