The White Sands oryx is arguably the most visually unique hunting experience in North America: free-range gemsbok against the blindingly white gypsum dunes of White Sands Missile Range. These oryx were introduced from the San Andres Mountains population in the 1960s and now number over 3,000 animals.

Draw tags are issued through New Mexico Game & Fish. The $1,623 state license is in addition to the guide fee. Security clearance required for WSMR access — Radiant R Outfitters handles the paperwork. 3-day guided hunt. Apply by March annually for best draw odds.
