About This Hunt
Michigan's Upper Peninsula is home to a thriving black bear population in some of the most remote forested terrain east of the Mississippi. Upper Peninsula Bear Outfitters offers both traditional bait hunting over elevated stands and exciting hound hunting with a trained pack of Walker and Plott hounds. Hound hunting provides an action-packed experience with close-range shot opportunities. Bears in the UP regularly exceed 300 pounds, with some boars pushing 400+.
