Stone Sheep Hunt — Northern British Columbia

The Stone sheep hunt is widely considered the most coveted sheep hunting experience in the world. Found only in northern British Columbia and the southern Yukon, Stone sheep rams display extraordinary dark chocolate-to-black coats that contrast dramatically against the high alpine snowfields. A Stone sheep tag requires booking a licensed BC outfitter — there is no draw; you purchase the tag through your outfitter.

Our operation covers 1,200 square miles of pristine northern BC wilderness accessible only by floatplane or helicopter. Rams in this country are unhunted and fully mature — fullcurl Stone rams with 38"+ bases are realistic expectations for hunters who put in the miles. We run a strict 1:1 guide ratio and our guides each have 15+ years of BC mountain guiding experience.

This is the most physically demanding hunt we offer. You must be in elite physical condition — expect 8–12 miles of hiking per day in steep, rocky alpine terrain above 6,000 feet. Success rates run 85%+ for hunters who are adequately prepared.
