Roe Deer — High Seat Hunt, Bavaria

Roe deer hunting from traditional Bavarian high seats is one of Europe's most classic and atmospheric hunting experiences. Germany's roe bucks are among the finest trophies in Europe — the famous 'pearl buck' of Bavaria with deeply pearled antlers is a coveted trophy for serious European hunters.

Bavarian Forest Hunting offers high seat hunts over fields and woodland edges during the May–September roe deer season. The May–June roebuck season coincides with morning mist over the Bavarian meadows — an unforgettable atmosphere for classic European hunting. Bucks are called during the July–August rut using roe calls.

All hunts conducted on licensed private hunting leases (Reviere) in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. German hunting culture — Jägerprüfung traditions, post-hunt ceremony, and the Schützenschnur — make this a culturally enriching experience as well as a superb hunt.
