The Nubian ibex is one of the most striking of all ibex subspecies — long sweeping horns arching back over the body, adapted perfectly to the Wadi Rum desert mountains and Dana Biosphere Reserve. Jordan's ibex population has recovered under intensive conservation programs, and strictly limited trophy hunts are available under the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature.

Ibex are located by glassing from high points, then making long stalks across open desert terrain and rocky ledges.
