Wisconsin Black Bear — Northwoods Bait Hunt

Wisconsin's Northwoods counties hold one of the highest black bear densities in the Great Lakes region. Northwoods Bear Adventures has been guiding hunters in Ashland, Iron, and Vilas counties for two decades, maintaining over 40 active bait stations in prime old-growth and second-growth forest. Bears in this region average 200–280 pounds with occasional 350-pound boars showing up on trail cameras. Archery and crossbow options available September through October.
