Marco Polo Argali — Tajikistan/Kyrgyzstan
About This Hunt
The world's largest wild sheep — Marco Polo Argali in the high-altitude Pamir Mountains. Among the most iconic and challenging trophies in international hunting. Extremely limited permits.
The Marco Polo Argali is the undisputed king of wild sheep hunting — the world's largest sheep species with sweeping corkscrew horns reaching 60"+ found only in the high Pamir Mountains at altitudes of 13,000–17,000 feet. Named after the Venetian explorer who first described them, these magnificent animals represent the ultimate mountain sheep trophy.
Hunting in the Pamirs requires exceptional acclimatization, supreme physical fitness, and considerable logistical planning. Horses and yaks provide access to high-altitude hunting camps. Success requires multiple days at extreme elevation. One of the great remaining hunting adventures of the world.
