Kodiak Island Sitka Blacktail Deer — Alaska Coastal Wilderness
About This Hunt
Kodiak Island is the ultimate Sitka blacktail experience — a remote Alaska archipelago the size of Connecticut, with virtually no roads and one of the densest Sitka blacktail populations on the planet. Kodiak Island Outfitters runs 5-day drop-boat hunts accessing remote bays by skiff, then spot-and-stalk through alder thickets and open alpine tundra. Bucks average 90–120 Boone & Crockett points; trophy class 120–140+ B&C. The rut typically peaks late November–early December, with bucks visible on open hillsides. Non-resident bag limit is 3 deer. All transportation by skiff, spike camp accommodations, meat pack-out and vacuum sealing included.
