About This Hunt
Vancouver Island coastal black bears are among the largest in the world — 400–500 lb boars with 7-foot-plus skulls are taken every spring. Hunt over natural green-up areas and salmon river mouths. Spot-and-stalk hunting from jet boat. Color phases rare on the island — most bears are jet black and massive. BC guided hunt requirement for NR hunters fulfilled. License: $380 NR + $116 conservation. Spring season puts bears in prime feed mode after den emergence. Comfortable lodge accommodations.
