The Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness — over 600 square miles of some of the most rugged and remote elk country in North America — is the backyard of Boulder Creek Outfitters. We've been hunting this wilderness for decades and maintain a 90–95% bull success rate that speaks for itself.

Bulls averaging 280–290 class are the norm, with many in the 300+ range. Our largest bull to date measured 387 B&C — the country simply grows exceptional elk. We run wilderness spike camp hunts as well as ranch combo hunts to match hunter preference and fitness level. Archery rut hunting in September is some of the most exciting elk hunting anywhere.

Accessing Hells Canyon country requires commitment — you'll ride horses into remote spike camps and hunt terrain that gets steep and serious. Our wrangling staff and pack strings are first-rate, and your guide will be with you every step of the way.
