Glacier Bear (Blue Bear) — Southeast Alaska
About This Hunt
Ultra-rare glacier bear hunting in Southeast Alaska's temperate rainforest — a true unicorn of North American hunting. The glacier bear, or blue bear, is an extremely rare color phase black bear found only in the coastal rainforests of Southeast Alaska around Yakutat and the St. Elias Range. With steel-blue or silver-tipped fur, glacier bears are among the most sought-after and unusual trophies in North America.
10-day hunts operate from spike camps in the remote coastal rainforest with floatplane access. Very limited tags are available and hunter success depends on extensive pre-season scouting by our guides. This is a hunt that very few people on earth will ever attempt — a true once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the serious bear hunter.
