About This Hunt
Hunt trophy brown bears in Alaska's prime Unit 17 — Bristol Bay drainage, 300 miles southwest of Anchorage. Alaska Elite Outfitters (founded by Mike Vanstrom, guiding since 2002) operates on the Nushagak and Mulchatka rivers with float-plane access from Dillingham. Spring hunts run May 10–31; fall hunts August 20–30 and September 16–26. Lodge accommodations include a 3-bedroom fishing lodge with full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, internet, and hot meals. Bears average 8'+ with exceptional trophy quality. 10-day fully guided: $25,000. 15-day spring special: $35,000. Nonresident hunters must hire an Alaska-licensed guide for brown/grizzly bear — all legal requirements met.
